Setting Up Measurement on Meta
Note: Meta has begun phasing out Offline Event Sets in favor of a new Datasets. Going forward, all offline tracking (including Adsquare RFTM) must use Datasets with the via CAPI (Conversions API). Please follow the updated steps below. Learn more about these changes (Meta Guide)

Navigate to the “Partners” tab and click “Assign Partner”.
In the “Share this Dataset with a Partner” window:

Double-check that the correct dataset is selected and click Publish to save changes.
❗Share the dataset ID and name to your Client Success contact in Adsquare exclamation mark
⚠️ Meta limitation: Any data sent before the ad account is assigned + added in the ad is not retrievable and will be lost.
5. Adsquare Sets Up the Tracking Configuration
Adsquare will create a measurement configuration on their platform, linking it to the provided Dataset ID.
No action is needed from your side during this step. You’ll be notified once tracking is active.
Note: This setup can take up to 1–2 business days.
6. Final Checks: Make Sure Data Is Flowing into Your Dataset
Once Adsquare begins sending events to your Dataset, you should be able to see a graph in the Events Manager showing incoming raw data. This Event Activity graph reflects the total number of raw events sent by Adsquare. It’s important to check that data is appearing.
📅 Note: It usually takes 3–4 days for store visits to begin displaying due to signal latency and attribution processing.
Go to Meta Events Manager.
In the left-hand menu, click on “Data Sources” > Select the relevant Dataset Name / ID
You should be able to see a graph under “event Activity” showing visits gradually populating. This Event Activity graph reflects the total number of raw events sent by Adsquare. Remember that it’s normal to see fewer visits in the most recent 1–3 days. The data will continue to build over time.
✅ If you see data appearing in the graph and no warning signs or flags, you're all set! You can skip the next section and move on to the Reporting step to verify that conversions are being tracked correctly.
❗However, if events aren’t showing up or you see a warning icon, Meta may require a one-time manual approval of the first event.
To check and approve events (if needed):
In the Overview tab, scroll down below the event activity graph
Look for a line marked “Events” — if this is the first time data is received, an exclamation mark ⚠️ icon will appear
Click the icon and select “I acknowledge”
A confirmation window will appear, choose “Confirm the custom event” and then click “Confirm”
✅ Once confirmed, events will be approved and ready for tracking in your dataset!
❗If you don’t see a warning sign and still no visits are appearing after 4 days since tracking started, please reach out to your Client Success contact in Adsquare to investigate.
Reporting on Meta
To check your store visit results:
Go to Ads Manager.
→ Select the Campaign, Ad Set, or Ad you want to review, depending on which level you'd like to analyse.Add Offline Conversion Columns.
→ Click on the “Columns” drop-down and select “Offline Conversions”.
The visits will appear under “Other offline conversions“ offline events.
Note: This data comes from the Dataset you connected in your Ad settings
Setting Up Custom Conversions for POI-Level Reporting (Outside EU)
⚠️ Important: Store-level (POI) reporting is only possible outside the EU.
This is due to GDPR restrictions, Meta does not expose the POI ID for events received in the EU.
❗For Outside EU: Meta allows a maximum of 100 custom conversions per Ad Account. If you're tracking more than 100 stores, you’ll need to group them accordingly to get full reporting coverage.
To track visits at the store (POI) level (only Outside of EU!) you must set up a custom conversion:
Create a Custom Conversion
Open Meta Events Manager and select your account.
Click Custom conversions in the top-left menu.
Click Create custom conversion.
2. Configure Your Conversion
Name: Use the store name for clarity.
Data Source: Select the relevant offline event.
Event Type: Choose “Other”.
Rules: Match your POI data, e.g.,
Custom Data = poi_idandParameter Values = <the name of the store, as given in the POI list to Adsquare>(Optional) Enter a conversion value if needed.
Important Insights & Limitations:
Meta allows a maximum of 100 offline datasets per Business Manager. Datasets cannot be deleted, but you can edit their names and reuse them by updating the data flow that populates them. If more than 100 are needed, you may have to create and use a separate Business Manager.
Meta allows a maximum of 100 custom conversions per ad account.
Data splits only apply after the custom conversion is created (not retroactive).
Backfilling is limited to the last 5 days. Please ensure all setup steps are completed before or as close to the campaign start date as possible to avoid missing data.
Updating Your POI List:
During an active campaign, you can add or remove POIs by sending an updated list with changes clearly highlighted.
Expanding/Reducing the radius: Allowed during an active campaign or attribution window.
Collaborative Ads:
Currently, Adsquare cannot measure collaborative ads.
Troubleshooting
If visits aren’t showing in your offline event data:
Verify your settings (dates, POI list, data source) are correct.
If issues persist, please contact support.
