Situation: I do not see daily visits

“I'm running a Real-Time Footfall Measurement Campaign on The Trade Desk, but I don’t receive daily conversions.”

In order to achieve relevant results, please consider a minimum of 3 MM impressions and 100 K Unique Users and locations with enough traffic.

Adsquare sends visits to The Trade Desk (TTD) via two different feeds. You can refer to the table below for the differences between both Weekly and Daily Feeds:

Weekly Feed

Daily Feed

Definition

Weekly Refresh with individual store IDs

Hourly Refresh with store-group IDs

Business Suitability

Enables store insights with weekly optimisation

  1. Enables near real-time optimisation

  2. Temporal insights and store-group level insights.

Store-Level analysis

Yes: Individual store ID transferred to TTD.

No: Via store-Group ID made of at least 3 stores

Grouping can be made via 2 ways:

  • Based on your individual grouping (e.g particular region/city/district or by type)

  • Based on Adsquare algorithm, grouping stores in close proximity together.

Refresh Frequency and Timestamp

  1. Weekly feed is updated on Tuesday at 1am UTC for the previous week

  2. The timestamp of all events is set to Sunday 23:59:59 of the respective week (e.g. Sunday 07/06/2020 23:59:59)

  3. The feed includes all data from the previous week from Monday to Sunday.

Hourly feed is updated for the visitations in the previous hour.

Attribution

  1. Attribution Window is minimum 7 days

  2. Multiple conversions within the week treated as 1

Multiple conversions within the last 1 hour are treated as 1

US only

For US campaigns the data feed contains the name of the state as well as the name of the country (USA) for each POI.

If your measurement campaign has less than 3 POIs, we are not sending daily data but only weekly data on Tuesdays.

Situation: Daily Visits and Weekly Visits do not match

“I'm running a Real-Time Footfall Measurement Campaign on The Trade Desk and the Weekly Visits do not match with the Daily Visits.”

Adsquare sends visits to The Trade Desk (TTD) via two different feeds. You can refer to the table above for the differences between both Weekly and Daily Feeds.

It is expected to have some differences even though the numbers should be pretty close. If there is a huge difference, please open a service desk ticket with the information described below.

To do a proper troubleshooting for a measurement configuration, please provide Platform Ops all the following details:

  1. Dates: campaign’s start and end date / precise dates where data was missing.

  2. Location: what types of POIs / is there enough traffic in the locations?

  3. Measurement Configuration ID(s)

  4. Details about the campaigns: number of impressions, number of Unique Users exposed, targeting applied, tracking tag IDs, full screenshots, etc

  5. Raw Reports from the DSP.

Situation: Visits backfill is not reflected

“I request visits to be backfilled for the last 3 months but they don’t appear on The Trade Desk. What happened?”

While Adsquare can backfill data up to 3 months, The Trade Desk does not attribute visits past 28 days.
