How should I structure my taxonomy?

  • We recommend that each taxonomy utilises 2-3 taxonomy levels to ensure that the data is well structured for clients, but also not too complicated.

  • Dataset names should be intuitive and give clients an understanding of what they represent, rather than being called just ‘high’, ‘low’, ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

  • Dataset descriptions should be used to give further context or explanations to datasets to ensure that clients can use them without any questions.
