Why are duplicates appearing?

Duplicates are often caused by hidden whitespaces (extra spaces) before or after the text in your taxonomy file. The system recognizes "Segment A" and " Segment A" as two completely different paths, causing them to display twice in the UI.

How to Resolve:

  1. Clean Your File: Open your taxonomy CSV and remove any accidental spaces at the beginning or end of your category names and IDs.

  2. Re-upload: Upload the cleaned file to ensure all datasets are correctly mapped to the proper, single path.

  3. Delete the Error: Once your data has moved to the correct path, you can manually delete the duplicate/incorrect entry directly within the Manage Onboarding UI.


Pro Tip: Use the "Find and Replace" or "TRIM" function in Excel to quickly remove all leading and trailing spaces across your entire file.
